Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Giving Orphans A Shoulder To Lean On

My name is Dorcas Busieka Lusamula. I am the caretaker in Upendo Children Centre in Ebwambwa in Kakamega Central District. This centre was established over ten years ago with the common passion of giving the hurting children in our society a shoulder to lean on. I was the first person to start working at the Instituation dealing directly with the children in their varied dimensions. Some who are mentally unstable and others with other difficulties all of whom are orphans. I have done my best sacrificially being an orphan too. There has been a confrontation or conflict among the administrative front for some time but the mainstream objective has persisted on. Most of the children may not be willing to stay on and would wish to get sponsorship and be under their own guardians.
