Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Group Initiative, A Tool For Enhancement Of Education/ Social Affairs

I am Irene Akhonya's daughter in std 5. Irene is the treasurer of Usife Moyo Women Group in Kakamega Central district. I knew of this Group's efforts in contributing to the development of women's affairs especially those infected or affected with HIV Aids and widows in Emusala area. Although my mother is not HIV positive she was part of the machinery that worked to implement the idea being a teacher who saw the people that suffered in the community. She has also benefitted, borrowing funds from the Group, which has even assisted me to go to school. We have been able to also boost our income generation courtesy of this Groups funds. It is an initiative that hooks up with prudents accurately.
