Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

A Gleamer Of Hope

The Kenya young men Christian association group is an organization that has set up different work stations in Kenya. Within my community (Kibera slum), the organization is working very hard and it aims at improving the education standards, health standards and the general well being of people. So far, the organization through the support of other support agencies like donors, churches, the community members and the government has been able to set up schools and health centers within Kibera which has highly boostd the living standards of people within this slum. This is because, people are able to access better health and education services which have been rare within this slum for a long time. Besides, there is a vocational training center where the youths both boys and girls are taught the basic survival skills like tailoring and carpentry where they are able to seek employment and earn a better living.
