Jelang story has became the talk of the town the talk of the town this is because of the courages move which she did.Jelang who is 15 yrs old was going to be married of to a 90yrs old man for few heads of cattle. The day of marriage was rude shock to jelang she really wanted to go and finish her studies before thinking of marriage.Jelangs father could not hear any of this he forceflly took her to her husbands house but the defiant spirit urged her run away.Jelang quickly ran to the chief camp.Skim away where the chief and UNICEF cared for her and took her to school.She is among the few girls who have escaped marriage i early ages in samburu.
