Female Genital Mutilation

Female genital mutilation have been growing in this country. This done by some few communities which claim that that is part of their culture. Although, they have seesed from withdrawing this behaviour the constitution of Kenya has taken root to cub this problem. The constitution has put it on notice that whoever is found carrying out this kind of service has be arrested and strict actions be taken upon him.It was recently that over 200 girls ran out of their homes and went to the police station to secure themselves from being multilated. Otherwise, the constitution itself demands that this is crime and does not contribute towards the rites of a child. Even if some communities are striking hard to retain this culture, the constitution is even taking serious actions upon them. This has greatly help the females to fight for their rights and now the campaign over this threat has been greatly reduces by this laws of Kenya through the constitution
