Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Transformation

Two weeks ago while still carrying out a networking session between community transformers and the community around, i was privileged to meet a youth group made of reformed youths who were once addicts and some had gone to reherb to be rehabilitated. The group in Mathare, have transformed a slopy area near the river that used to be a dumping area where some residents used as their toilet into an agricultural productive area. They have constructed terraces with stone planted vegetables which were growing well. I was so impressed by their effort. During our visit we were assisting them to build a base where they were to put a water tank to use to irrigate the plot. The group have changed the appearance of that place and made it reproductive.
