Kitchen Gardening

In the year 2005 the farmers in Jemungei village in Hamisi constituency wer visited by strange visitors. The visitors come with strange knowledge on kitchen gardening. The visitors were only training women group who are engaging in small scale gardening. They trained the owmen on how to manage their kitchen garden to have enough supply of vegetable that are nutritious to their children and family. Each individual person went into the activity and started planting the variety of tradition on indigenous vegetable that most of the people had neglected today, as we speak, the group that implemented are now supplying the vegetables to thamisi market and the sorrounding. They also gain a lot of income for their families.
