Please tell a story about a time when a person or organization tried to help someone or change something in your community:

Better Agriculture Practices

Agriculture is mostly relied upon by many people in my community, cheptulu.People struggle to get best quality produce and benefit from their sweat.Due to climate change, agriculture has been greatly undermined in my community.Inadequate and unreliable rainy seasons compounds the whole situation not forgetting pests and diseases which oftenly attack their crops. Being reasonable enough and willing to help the farmers, the National Cereals and Produce Board have come up with drought resistant crops which can withstand low amounts of rainfall hence improving agriculture. The board has introduced quality cereals and fertilizers and also subsidized the prices so that each and every farmer can afford them. The National Cereals and Produce Board has also set up development programs that educate farmers on the methods of farming and control of pests and diseases. This move has led to the improvement of agriculture in our community and hence stabalizing the population. standards of living have been improved since people can afford their daily bread and cater for their families adequately hence security also improving.
