What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

South Africa is still in a transitional phase of its devleopment as a newly established Democractic country. National reconstruction and nation building in South Africa is important and young people are the center of it. Youth Venture South Africa is seen as a innovative programme of action providing a platform and opportunity for hundreds of young people to be actively part of nation building and national reconstruction.Johannesburg is the pilot area targeted for 2008.

How will this project solve this problem?

YV supports youth by helping them address social issues in their communities. Youth form teams and create sustainable action plans that must be approved by a panel. Then, they receive seed money and technical support to start their Venture Team.

Potential Long Term Impact

YV is dramatically increasing the proportion of changemakers in the world by reaching youth and providing them the opportunity to see their own potential, develop skills thus,, creating an everyone a changemaker world.
