Looking for something special to give this Christmas? Well imagine the face of a mother in Uganda when she unwraps a year of education, food and medical care for her child. Or a cow so she can pay for herself? Or the excitement in the smiles of the 760 children attending YOFAFO's two primary schools when they unwrap new school supplies. So here's your opportunity to contribute to YOFAFO's Christmas education hamper. Make a donation yourself, or on behalf of someone else this Christmas.
Most families in the Ugandan villages of Kitoola and Najja do not have the money needed to pay school fees. While YOFAFO is working to build sustainable, self sufficient communities, it was founded on the principle this can be achieved through equal access to education. YOFAFO currently relies on donations to cover the school fees for all those who can't afford to pay, as well as teacher salaries and school meals.
Securing funding to run the school will go towards ensuring 700 children receive the quality education they need and deserve. This funding will help YOFAFO continue to grow our schools and serve more children. It will help cover school fees, pay for quality teachers and facilities, food and school books so the students have the basic resources required to complete their primary level schooling.
Education is the key to future success. If these children in rural Uganda continue their education, they will most likely lead healthier, more productive lives. The impact of education can carry on not only in their individual lives, but in future generations as well.
