    In 2008 the Afghan Institute of Learning supported 46 learning centers in Herat, Mazar, Bamiyan and Kabul, Afghanistan and in Peshawar, Pakistan.       drfrances It's great that AIL now has a 9th grade class! There has been a big gap between the elementary grades and university that made it very hard for bright and motivated Afghan girls to go past the lower grades.
