Project Personnel

Gregory Rake - President

Mr. Rake served for 20 years in Latin America with MAP International, Project Concern and Mennonite Central Committee in health and development activities. He led successful Health education initiatives related to cholera and AIDS and logistic systems for the Ministry of Heath in Bolivia. Greg has a Master’s in Health Services and is an editor of Serving with the Poor in Latin America.

Norma Martinez - Regional Coordinator for Health

Ms. Martinez completed a Master’s in health education before working 20 years as a professional nurse in Honduras. She coordinated a nursing school for a hospital and founded a school that taught job skills and provided 3 meals a day to the children coming from impoverished families. Martinez coordinated a major relief effort for victims of hurricane Mitch before coming to work for Agros in 1999.

Mario Morales - Director of Agros Guatemala

Mr. Morales studied at the School of Superior Studies of Economy and Business Administration, Francisco Marroquín University, Guatemala. He served as the Executive Director for the Foundation for Rural Development in Guatemala City. He also acted as consultant for many rural socioeconomic programs, and served as Special Products Project Coordinator for the National Foundation for Peace.
