02 New Sewing centers establishment in Slum areas of Hyderabad
AHD women staff team visited different slum areas near Hyderabad during the months of July to August 2013 and finalized 02 areas most poverty stickmen and needs urgent support for their women and young girls to learn the sewing and skill techniques to help their family to generate income at their household level
1. 1. Awami Sewing Center, Tando Hyder, near Hyderabad, serving 23 young adult girls
2. 2. Grace Town Sewing Center, near Hyderabad, serving 19 young adult girls
The main activities in women sewing and skill center are:
· a. Trainings for staff capacity building.
· b. Cutting, sewing and sizing.
· c. Making decoration pieces.
· d. Stitching clothes.
· e. Knitting, sewing, embroidery.
Initial visits conducted, mobilization meetings and workshop organized & women CBO organized in the both areas to start the sewing center for the young adult women and girls, in this regard total 42 young women / girls targeted through this Global Giving project for the promotion of swing skills for the income generation at their household level.
The new started sewing centers project will need support from all of you to arrange sewing machines and cloths, teacher fees and center rent etc. hope to hear from all of you for this project.
