To improve the access of at least 50 poor women (youth) in the formal and informal sector every year to computer literacy. (25 girls / women per batch per every six months). To enhance the vocational skill of 50 young girls per year for better employability and knowledge of their work. To ensure that at least 50% of the trained women have the necessary structure and support to translate training into decent employment and improved welfare for themselves and their families.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Extreme drought, mechanization and modernization of agricultural sector have thrown several thousands of people out of their jobs. The problem of unemployment and underdevelopment is widely prevalent. The rural youth especially the women and Dalits, lack professional & vocational skills. Hence they are engaged in all sorts of hazardous and menial occupations. The type of employment they get is only seasonal and temporary and fetches low wages. There is a sense of insecurity.
How will this project solve this problem?
Outcome expected to be achieved (Impact indicators) a) Employment / self 50 women of first generation would have acquired knowledge and skill in computer application. 50 of them would have got placements. They would start earning by themselves. b) Income generation or augmentation The candidates after getting a job will earn around Rs.3000 to 5000 per month. This will help their families and enhance their standard of living. c) Women's employment
