Fatima Memorial Hospital plans to send winter quilts for the flood affected in Dera Ghazi Khan, facing the harsh winters without proper shelters. This will extend FMH flood relief work in the area.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
The recent floods in Pakistan had left thousands homeless. The winters have added to their misery as majority is still living in temporary shelters without adequate heating arrangements. The number of people suffering from cold, pneumonia and bronchitis has risen dramatically. Most of these are children. FMH will provide them with quilts to keep themselves warm.
How will this project solve this problem?
Provision of warm winter quilts will protect the flood affected families from the biting cold and the resulting illnesses.
Potential Long Term Impact
The project will provide winter quilts to 1000 people allowing them to keep themselves warm and protect them from the harsh winter and icy cold breeze. This will help reduce morbidity and mortality amongst these people.
This project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations.
