The rural Agros community of Futuro de Manana needs to have a well drilled in order to have sufficient water to irrigate their crops.
The twenty-two poor families in this community live in rural Nicaragua and have never owned their own land. They are now working with Agros to become land owners and learn new sustainable agricultural techniques, including using irrigation to produce crops during the dry season.
This project includes the drilling of a 100 foot well and building the basics of the irrigation system with a submergible pump and generator.
The ability to have water year-round to irrigate their crops will provide a great advantage to these families to increase their production and get the best price for their goods.
This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).
