Summary

We will build a water treatment system with the community of Jazmín and work with its members to create and implement a water education campaign to ensure project sustainability and replicability.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Project tackles a dual engineering and educational challenge, leaving a sustainable, community-driven initiative, while developing a model for long-term global engagement so that similar projects can be replicated with partner communities elsewhere.

How will this project solve this problem?

We will be co-designing and building a new water system with the community, while co-developing and implementing a water education initiative which includes teaching materials and technical training.

Potential Long Term Impact

The project aims to benefit the community of Jazmín immediately, though the success of the operation will create a replicable model for development that shows the power of community collaboration and sustainability.
