While some team members from SNS Foundation were busy filling in the application form for participating in the GlobalGiving Challenge, some of their colleagues led by Ramlal Badgujar, the main project personnel were supervising the work of cleaning and deepening of a well in village Sadadpana, 80 kms of Nasik city in the state of Maharashtra, in the west of India.
In this water well, every year come April, there would be no water. However to the surprise of villagers, with the recent work that has gone into cleaning and deepening of the water well today there was 11ft of water standing in it.
This is the project's second biggest success, the first being the complete filling of the check dam constructed as part of the project's pilot phase activity.
