Patrick Alubbe - Country Director Kenya

Patrick has over 20 years experience in water and sanitation, including work in both the public and private sectors in Kenya. Patrick joined Water.org while working for one of our partner organizations to bring water and sanitation to the western part of Kenya. Patrick has special interest in low-cost water supply and appropriate sanitation technologies including ecological sanitation.

Rich Thorsten - Director of International Projects

Rich brings over 15 years of experience in non-profit management, advocacy, research, and evaluation to Water.org. He has centered his professional life on improving the quality of life of current and future generations while safeguarding our environment and feels his experiences in different parts of the developing world has opened his eyes to the perils of those who live in absolute poverty.

Gary White - Executive Director

White has dedicated his life to helping people obtain safe and sustainable water supplies. More than a decade ago in the slums of Guatemala City, he was shocked by the sources of drinking water. These caused sickness and death, especially for children whose immune systems are weak. Knowing that 80 percent of sickness in the world is water-related motivated him to co-found Water.org.
