Summary
Ecoclubs promote awareness of water consumption in communities. They create a coalition among businesses, the community, the government and grantmakers to care for our water supplies.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
The project's direct beneficiaries will be the 60 youth facilitators of the Ecoclubs and the 100 teachers of the participating schools. Indirectly the initiative will involve 400 young people from Ecoclubs and approximately 12,500 children and schoolteachers.
How will this project solve this problem?
1- Selection of Ecoclubs;
2- Proposals to schools;
3- Initial training of Ecoclubs;
4- Program development;
5- Posting experiences and testimonies on the Web;
6- Program evaluation and integration of new Ecoclubs
Potential Long Term Impact
Promoting healthy habits related to the consumption and care of water; helping correct negative practices; reducinge present and future problems in Argentina and in Latin America; spreading awareness of clean water as a fundamental right.
