Map of IMPLEMENTATION OF A SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAMME IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN KATAXWI IMPLEMENTATION OF A SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAMME BY ACDILVOCA IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN KATAKWI It was march 2011,when ACDILVOCA carried a school feeding survey,it was meant to find out the actual status of the schools,so as to adesign an appropriate programme.they were recording the school enrolment.anumber of structures,latrines and also meeting the school management committee and PTA to inform.Them about this programme.they made parents and pupils happy because the hungry pupils would soon begin feeding at school.this a programme that every is waiting to be implemented. Drought Ease Pupils Out Of School Is Now A Dream To Many

Map of DROUGHT EASE PUPILS OUT OF SCHOOL IS NOW A DREAM TO MANY thousands of school going children in kagundo district are at risk of dropping out of school due to the drought being experienced in the area. the drought situation is getting out of hand as many school children are going to school without getting food. as the school has no feeding programme in the place, parents used to provide the school with maize, beans and firewood but have since stopped as they lack sufficient stoak. this was due to heavy drought that clash the area. many parents are now craying for help from the government to boost them with some food, so their children can go to school and learn. some people cannot even afford any meal to carry them fro the next day. luckily the kenyan government raised sh.1.3million to buy food for primary school in the district so the children can go to school and learn. Community Development

Map of COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT There was a community that lived in scarcity of water and women, school children suffered greatly and their performance in school was affectedto lack of the commodity in the institution. Most of the children wasted their time out of school fetching for water. Contaminated water due to water born diseases caused many deaths and illness and hence poverty in the area. An organization came in with objective of reduction of poverty through water and sanitation program and in areas which are below poverty line and to work with such communities. A partner organization came and mobilized the communities, conducted P.R.A(Participation Rural Appraisal and trained communities to discover their own needs. The project was funded halfway and community contribution was to be realized in order to get their own the project. Water and Sanitation facilities were implemented in schools and springs in the community and now the need for water to save time was at least realized and now children don't waste time fetching water during school time. Improvement Of Peoples Livings

Map of Project development My home area was in the brink of happiness,whenWSF,a certain NGO carried out an initiative dubbed as '2010-kaimosi demonstration primary schoola and surrounding community'.The project saw the construction of 4 doors vip latrines for both boys and girls,protection of springs;sinking,lining and pump installation on shallow wells.Training on sanitation and hygiene promotion.This has seen the community benefiting alot. Fighting Viccinerable Diseases

The Nairobi vaccine depot and eight regional depot has received equipment to facilitate improved distribution of drugs.These vaccines which have been stored has be those for polio,measles,tetanus,typhoid,yellow fever and viral hepatitis type B. Tree Planting

Map of tree planting one the major activities that help combat climate change is tree planting. trees are very resourceful to the life natural environment. they are a source of firewood, they balance the carbon cycle. in addition, they act as windbreakers and they make the scenery beautiful and appearing to the eye. in koibarak region situated on the slopes of nandi hills,there are times where the community around and the neighborhood experiences strong winds these winds were very destructive in that they used to destroying crops, blow away roots of people houses and even cause destruction in farm structures in 2005, mr edward nisara encouraged the community members to plant trees which could act as wind breakers during the strong period. though faced either many challenges, the determined teacher spearheaded the planing of many trees in this community six years later the trees are mature and serve the right purpose in the community. people obtained firewood from the trees and their leaves are used as organic manure in the farms. the trees also insist in construction of house and they are also used as electric poles in the rural electrification project.
