Update on Rwandan finalists: After a visit to Rwanda in May by 3 Bpeace volunteers, we are pleased to announce that the Rwandan semi-finalists have completed their business plans. Bpeace advocates are still working closely with the finalists and Bpeace is committed to advising them through the end of 2010.
Update on Afghan finalists: In June, 5 Bpeace volunteers travelled to Afghanistan and met with the Afghan Race to Innovation finalists and welcomed them into the Bpeace three-year program. Sora will be coming to the U.S. in October 2010. While here, she will visit with host companies in their field. This program is partially sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
Almost 350 donors supported the Race to Innovation finalists, not only providing direct financial support, but also giving them tremendous exposure and the encouragement to take their businesses even further.
Congratulations to all the finalists and thank you to our voters for your support!

Combined with other sources of funding, this project raised enough money to fund the outlined activities and is no longer accepting donations.
