Map of ACHIEVING ENOUGH WATER IN NGARAU LAIKIPIA COUNTY food security in laikipia can be achieved if the ministry of water development and other stalke holders come together and find a solution of finding way and means of getting water for irrigation. Note very well that ngarua in laikipia west we don't have rivers. We depend on water from dams ponds and water harvested from rain water. This water is not enough for human beings as well as livestocks. We need more and more water. This time the area is very dry you cannot get green foliage for livestock water catchment areas cannot produce enough water according to the high demand. Therfore wells come the organization called swim that have trained Ngarau residents on how to dig water dowsing from uderground. This method is good as each home will have enough water, I call upon the government to fund. Read more.

Formal Environmental Education

Map of Formal environmental education There is both non-formal and formal environmental education running out in Kalagala district with the aim of discriminating environmental information to the public and in schools. The district environmental action plan (DEAP) has done in encouraging practical environmental educations in schools. This has seen many schools forming environmental clubs, made use of waste into compost to improve school gardening, waste sorting campaign. This is lead by a Japanese volunteer who is disseminating environmental education in schools. Read more.

Fighting With A Dengarous Weed In The Lake

Map of FIGHTING WITH A DENGAROUS WEED IN THE LAKE Many fishermen around lake victoria are always Standered due to presence of water hycinth which cover the water mazing fish activities very difficult .now due of their beach lader has come with a solution to that problem ,they are able to remove that dangerous weeds by using a machine that crushes that weed into smaller pieces,so fishermen are able to carry their activity without any worry . Not only the use of machine,but also they uses their .hand to remove that dangerous weed out of the lake . Many fishermen have benefited from this art,so they can sell fish and get many to enables carry their daily activities. Read more.
