This project will help us (Mercy & Sharing) feed over 1200 children we care for in Haiti. This includes 126 abandoned children in our orphanages and students in our 3 schools. We are committed to providing for the less unfortunate - we cannot let them down.
Our problem is raising $21,000 to ship donated food from the US to Haiti. One of our amazing partners is donating 2 containers of non-perishable foods - enough for 1 year. We need funds for shipping by June 25th. Mercy & Sharing is committed to feeding a nutritious meal to all our children at our orphanages and schools. The orphanage children receive 3 meals per day everyday and the students at the schools receive one meal 365 days a year.
By receiving the containers we will have an annual supply of nutritious meals with a savings of at least $75,000 by not purchasing the food in Haiti.
By getting these containers of non-perishable food (one with manna soy rice packets and another container of mixed foods) over 1200 children will be guaranteed a meal every day of the year (in the case of the orphanage 3 meals per day).
