2013 Uplift a Child International Annual Report

2013 Uplift a Child International Annual Report

December 22nd

Dear Friends, Sponsors & well-wishers,

Uplift a Child International celebrated its 13th year of service to less fortunate children in 2013 (2000 to 2013) during which 2,000 children have benefited. This was possible only with the help of our 515 dedicated sponsors from around the world (USA, UK, India, Ukraine, UAE, Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, Switzerland, Kenya and Saudi Arabia), 70 volunteers from east to west, and friends from all over, along with the help of our administrative teams and Board of Directors from USA, Nepal & India

I cannot believe how time is passing by so quickly and to realize that some of our children have already completed their college is truly remarkable. They are no longer children and I am happy to see them become adult volunteers for Uplift a Child. We are happy to provide some of our children summer internships at our Uplift a Child office in India. So far, Rajesh Sivakoti and Aslesh Yendluri have successfully completed their first year of Internship with us while pursuing their college education.  Rajesh visited Assam and has conducted an Uplift a Child annual program there and inspired our 50 sponsored children there. I can clearly see the result of our work with the example of Rajesh’s involvement with Uplift a Child. Per my calculations, at least 60-70% of our sponsored children will become a future sponsor or a future volunteer and continue our vision as they have personally experienced our goal to uplift the less privileged children in their educational careers. Rena and I are pleased to see these types of results while we are still alive and we thank God for his blessings towards helping our cause.

Once again, we left NO child behind in 2013. We have extended our operations to Nepal and it was very successful year. I personally visited Nepal and met all of the children, volunteers, the school and the parents; it was very successful. Mr. Loknath Tiwari is our Country Director for Nepal and is walking the same path which was created by Uplift a Child International. We are preparing to extend the same help to the Philippines from 2014.

Thanks to all of our Sponsors, Volunteers, Schools, Business vendors who supply us with everything we need for our children. Thank you for making a difference with your time, talent, contributions and your dedication; we will never forget your help. Our savings in this world are not what we have today but what we give to others.

Happy holidays and a have a great new year!

Thank you,

Sam & Rena Vonumu
