They Aren't Called Scholar Athletes for Nothing!
If you know PAST&E, you know that we are about much more than tennis. That couldn't be more evident for PAST&E scholar athletes and George Middle School students Makai, Jasmine, Rosaria and Destiny (pictured), who recently received certificates recognizing their excellent attendance records and academic achievement.
PAST&E Parents Hold Court
In spirited and inspiring fashion, a growing group of PAST&E parents have been learning the game of tennis. Every week, you can find the self-described "Damas" (Ladies) and "Caballeros" (Gentlemen) on the court at SJRC, modeling for their children the importance of an active, healthy lifestyle and helping to build a stronger community here at PAST&E. Says Humberto Gomez, a "Caballero" and volunteer Parent Coach for the PAST&E Junior Teams, “the more we play and understand the game, the better we can support our kids.”
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
Heartfelt gratitude to the hundreds of donors, volunteers, and friends who made 2012 PAST&E's best year yet. We served 60 scholar athletes and their families, impacted the lives of hundreds more, secured a permanent site for the program, and have made tennis more accessible to the entire community. Your continued support promises a bright future for PAST&E!
