Turning the Tide: Community Recovery in Bihar

A new tube well will provide fresh water

A newly tapped well spews muddy water, which will soon run clean and clear, providing safe drinking water to this community of flood surivivors.

Children wait patiently while in camp

While their parents line up to get food, medicine and supplies, these children wait in their tent at the relief camp, safe and dry at last.

Tarpulins provide important - if temporary - shelters for families while they wait for flood waters to recede.

This new well supplies water to a large relief camp, saving them the dangerous walk through dirty, snake-infested waters to the only other well in the area.
