The livelihood of 250 fishing families will be restored through the provision of fishing boats and nets.
The 250 families lost all their belongings (35 boats and 48 nets) in the tsunami. The village is poor and they are barely surviving without adequate supplies to support themselves through fishing.
The project will allow all families to return to work by providing 25 fishing boats. A revolving fund will pay for future repairs and improvements.
The livelihoods for all families will be restored. Income and work activities will return to normal levels.
This project has provided additional documentation in a Microsoft Word file (projdoc.doc).
