Summary

ACEH SEHATI is implementing a flexible network to provide immediate support to victims in tsunami-affected areas in Indonesia.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

The tsunami survivors living in Aceh and Medan need organizations to help with financial aid distribution. There is also need for post-disaster trauma recovery facilities and open and transparent operations in handling the relief efforts.

How will this project solve this problem?

Identify students who are ready to be trained to become trauma recovery assistants. Identify also those from the Aceh community who are ready to help or become foster parents for the children of Aceh. (see project documentation for detail)

Potential Long Term Impact

Develop a network and nodes to effectively and efficiently build a collective power to work together in delivering immediate aid to tsunami victims.

Project Message
