Tulu Gudo Landscape
Tulu Gudo, an island on Lake Ziway, has been inhabited for over 1,000 years. The Zay people who live there rely on unique terracing technique to grow crops on the steep hills. Fire wood is scare and energy saving stoves would greatly reduce the cost of fuel wood which often must be shipped in from the mainland on boats.
