Giving Hope To The Hiv Aids Victims

By a female, 31-45 years old, in Kakamega Central, Kenya
Map of GIVING HOPE TO THE HIV AIDS VICTIMS My name is Anne Musumba, a social worker with an overwhelming desire as a former employee of Malaika Children's Home, to contribute immensely to the general welfare of the HIV/AIDS infected girls and young single mothers. On this premise I started a support Group for this purpose in 2010, which has been trying to help these affected persons called Township Self Help Group which has thrown its passion into giving such people a great hope. I have therefore given priority to counselling and consultative efforts that would help young girls(youth) not to fall to the prey of dropping from school to abandon education. We have had the support of WEAEP in order to implement some of our programmes which have led us to some amount of success, yet still so needy of sponsors who could help us to move to the next level. I am so hearted towards these needy lot that I have gone to the extra mile of putting up with at least two of the single mothers as I try to hook up with any sponsors to help them. Read more.
