Training to lift young Ugandans out of poverty

Making progress

In recent times the geological survey has been undertaken and the borehole is due to be drilled any time now. Anticipatory excitement is really running high at the school!

Mike Williams has now booked his ticket to go back to visit the team at Siriba in mid May and will report back here on his return. Students are in training, we know that the management committee has met and agreed a way forward, and Mike is looking forward to meeting up with them again.

Long-distance communications are always hampered by the lack of electricity and the need to travel for an hour and a half to access emails. Even text messaging doesn't work when you can't charge your battery!

We are seeking to target the available funding very carefully to maximise the long term benefits...
