Sawasdee kha supporters,

The September Challenge has ended! We would like to thank you all supporters for your generous donations. We have totally raised USD 5,510 from 59 donors! Every donation helps ensure that we can continue helping disadvantaged women and our community.

We are still working hard to fundraise for launching our new office in Ubon Ratchathani. We still need your help. The new office will open as soon as we receive enough donations. Our team keeps working hard in order to ensure our qualified services for disadvantaged women. Apart from providing English and computer classes as usual, we organized numerous vocational trainings in the past few months. The trainings include:

  • CPR & First Aid Training: After having to cancel the CPR & First Aid training back in May due to the Red shirt protests, we have finally organized a successful CPR & First Aid Training by the Thai Red Cross back in August! 12 students enrolled and now have an official certificate.
  • Flower Arrangement Training: Due popular demand by students and support by our new volunteers Khun Srunya Nopsuwanwong and Khun Chaitawat Boonjubun who provided all the raw materials, we were able to open the first Flower Arrangement Training this year! Students learned how to select and match flowers and some have said that they are interested doing and selling flower arrangement as part of a second income.
  • Basic Self-Defense Training: We’ve been organizing Basic Self-Defense with our volunteer Khun Yut once every month. Because of its popularity, Khun Yut has proposed a more advance level of basic self defense which involves defending against weapons.

We believe that education is necessary for a better life. We will keep working hard in order to improve quality of life of disadvantaged Thai women.
