Our target was to train 360 youths in 2012. Even though the target was not fully attained, the result is quite encouraging. We have trained in total 333 young (and not so young)
people. We added yet another course to train manicures and this course is
proving to be a real success. We have already a very touching story of a 60
year old lady that completed the course and set up her own little business in a
Favela, doing door to door manicure. Of the 333 trained pupils, 227 pupils have successfully
completed a given course. Of course we would have liked all 333 to complete the courses. Nevertheless, those that did not complete the course spent several days with us and were kept of the streets, which is also part of our mission.
All of this would not have been possible without our donors and all the volunteers that got
involved in the project.
