Summer vacation is over and Brazil is back to school.
81 young people have applied for our different courses in the 1st quarter. This is slightly below our target of 90 but still very good for the first quarter. We are still looking at a target of 360 students for the whole year (against 310 last year). Breakdown for the 1st quarter is as follows:
Administrative assistant: 21
Silkscreen: 9
English: 15
Computer skills: 22
Cooking: 14
Call Center classes will begin on March 3rd: still no applications
Thanks to our improved financial situation and to the donations received, we now have a qualified and stable team of 10 teachers, a new secretary and one educator.
We were very pleased to learn that Felipe, one of our past students - who took administrative assistant classes - became an office boy, has found a stable job and is taking evening courses at college to become a lawyer. This is very rewarding news! Congratulations to him and to the whole Association team! And thank you to all donors and volunteers for your generous help. Your continued support is very important to our youths.
