Women without Borders Kenya will improve the livelihood of AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children access education ,medication,food clothing and shelter and other basic needs. Through mentors approach in Bungoma County Kenya.
Many people have died world wide due to HIV/AIDS living their families completely helpless in poverty. Bungoma alone we have more than 50,000 orphans according report by ministry of Gender and children affairs.Most of this children have been left as head of house holds working for cheap labor to feed the siblings. Women Without Borders Kenya have resolved to resettle this children with caregivers through home based care using mentors approach.This will reduce the poverty levels and stigma
Take them back to school,and resettle them with distance relatives caregivers while we provide food,education expenses,health,clothing and shelter.We shall also empower the care givers with knowledge and skills in order to become self sustainable
We anticipate to reach 5000 orphans if we get funds in two years time.We shall also continue to empower the community on the rights of the child.
