Tourist and outsiders who visit or come tilive in Africa find it a very triking vidual experience.the vast stretches of desert,barren volcanoes,fertile valleys and green mountains roaring torrents and calm lakes,waving palm trees and endless stretches of empty beach,amazing growth under the sun and rain.a recent film like "beautiful planet earth" while it was criticised by Africans trees cutters and environment destroyers.The ordinary African does not look on the physical features that sorround him in the detached;he only thinks about money.But just from nowhere a woman with strength and determination to defend the environment appeared,full of courage to save the dying earth.Wangari mathai stood with blood and flesh to defend her world and nation.We are favoured for having a star that shone and alighted the earth which was falling in darkness.Though the lord loved her much than us,we still remembe you mother for preaching the "plant trees"and "conserve environment" you saved the future generation.Surely you are a woman of strength. Access To Water Made Easy

For a long time, accessing enough water had proved a major headache to the people of my area.Streams and canals were minimals, there was inadequate and low water supply facilities and coverage.However, after major complain by the residents to the senior chief,our grievances were noted down and about a month later,Western Water Services Company did us a huge favor.They constructed water pipes to many households.This water which comes from the central,national water system ensures that we would receive enough water all the way.This was very nice and encouraging. Stock Theft

We live in a small market centre next to sondu town.the inhabitants of the centre are about five hundred people.There is the main road passing through the market centre,connecting the market to other places. It was 9:00pm at night and i had been sent to go to the shop to buy paraffin,since there had been a sudden black out in the market. In the market,there was a lot of commotion here and there.The policemen armed were canning people adn beating up very thouroughly whoever was met.Quite a number of collapsed and a few were seriously injured. In the morning hours the next day,about six families were in search for their lost cattle.The chief was informed about the losses but just kept quite about it.Later it came to light that,he had organised for the theft.Leaders should be responsible or else the citizens can not be helped. The Bukusu

It's not always easy to reform a person who was cultured in a way that was too traditional and involving a lot of traditional believes and practises like shedding of blood and even things to do with the gods and the cleansing of land and its is for this reason that no matter what efforts the government does to stop traditional circumcision in the African community and root for the modern circumcision in hospitals the efforts will be fruitless. There have been calls for the government to discourage traditional circumcision especially in the Bukusu community but there calls simply seem to land on a deaf ear because for the moments of my community the other forms of circumcision are unacceptable and any one who goes through the hospital kind is not counted as a man and for the fear of that,they all choose as a man and for the fear of that,they all choose,to go with the painfull way of traditional circumcision.
