Sadie St. Denis - Project Coordinator
Raised on a dairy farm in Ontario, Sadie inherited a respect for traditional wisdom and a strong appreciation for community cooperation. Over the last three years her development work has taken her from Asia to Eastern Europe to Africa. After a previous role as health officer in Masaka Uganda, she is now uplifted by the spirit of Shanti Uganda, and filled with a belief that change is possible.
Mary Namusisi - Head Midwife
With more than thirty-three years as a midwife, a diploma in leadership management, and the 2005 award for Best Midwife in Africa from Save the Children, one could say she is plenty qualified. Most recently Sister Mary held the position of Uganda Private Midwives Association's Programs Coordinator where she directed fund proposals and advised and trained midwives at private clinics.
