Summary
Strengthening the capabilities of teachers and young people by providing them with Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and training for ICT use.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Until now, schools located in the poor areas of Venezuela hardly provide students with skills that will allow them to successfully face the challenges of contemporary society. The poor communities in Venezuela present high indexes of non-schooling and receive a very low quality of education. Consequently, the children of these areas have very little possibility of overcoming their conditions of poverty. This project will benefit teachers and young people excluded from the educational system.
How will this project solve this problem?
Recollection and recovery of 100 computers to be installed in schools; Preparation of training and instructional materials for teachers; Carrying out the training cycle with 30 students and 80 teachers; systematization and evaluation of the project.
Potential Long Term Impact
To provide students will computer skills that will help them in their future.
Project Message
The children never thought they would have computers in this school. Aulas Tecnologicas Comunitarias makes their dream real and improves the education that we use to prepare students for the future.
