I have managed Awamaki's education programs and partnerships since June of 2011. We quickly realized the need for Spanish teachers in Ollantaytambo and the incredible opportunity this would provide. We contacted FairPlay, an organization that trains single mothers to be Spanish teachers, to help us organize a training program for local women here. They agreed, and we can't wait to get started!

A profile provided by FairPlay: We met Camucha in 2006 when we were doing intakes for the first group of single mothers to be trained by FairPlay to become Spanish teachers.Since graduation, she has done almost 5.000 hours of 1 on 1 teaching and she became one of our most knowledgeable and experienced teachers able to work with teenagers up to students well over 60.
