This project is aiming at training tailoring skills to women, there by imparting at least a technical skill which will help on income at a house hold level in Kayunga west
women in Kayunga have problem of looking after their children when men have taken on drinking alcohol, and as if thats not enough; a vast number of them are widows who lost their husbands due to HIV/AIDS so there is a burden of providing the basic necessities as well as catering for the education from their meager resources. These mothers have low levels of education and are peasant farmers who use rudimentary farming tool that produce not even enough for home use.
This project will help mothers to add on their income since a skill learned shall be part and partial of human being therefore, it will apply where a person goes.In this community there are traditional attires that are normally put on during traditional ceremonies which do not come already made from out side Uganda, so when these attires are trained to be made by these people at least some amount will be earned by our women hence financial improvement.
Theyre nearly 3000 people.
