Ensure sustainable livelihood for 200 poor households in rural villages of Nayagarh, Orissa, through providing small business supports to help meet their basic need of entire family.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
The small and marginal farmers loosing crops every years due to drought and floods. The government is taking action to compensate their looses but landless laborers are became unemployed and suffering from hunger that result ill health and malnutrition. Starvation deaths are common among this group. The project will help 200 landless families in 2 villages of Orissa to improve thir income.
How will this project solve this problem?
The project provides training on small business also ensure resources like goats, cows and grocery items to beneficiaries to have additional income to each family.
Potential Long Term Impact
The project will enhance capacity of 200 families allowing them to increase their income and provide for their family health and education for their children.
