Global Warming

22-30 years old, in Nairobi, Kenya
Map of GLOBAL WARMING I started the project green garden because there was a great need of planting trees because of global warming that is affecting us. I bought over a thousand seeds and i decided to plant atleast two trees daily. I formed a small organization of school boys and girls to help plant the trees I succeeded at first and mu seeds needed to be added because I was falling short. The chief granted us permission to plant in some open places. Two months in the project I wanted to expand and therefore I looked for donars and sponsors. I got little help help from relatives and I only expnaded a little. I started experiencing problems because there was a great drought and my seedlings needed constant watering for atleast a month. I could not provide for for that so I had to let the project fail. I really feel disapointed and I could not forgive myself because I had spent so much time and money in the project they weigh all the pro's and con's before starting. Read more.

By a male, 22-30 years old, in Nairobi, Kenya
Map of IMPUNITY Impunity is a major setback in the governance and management of puublic resources within and out of government. Most of the powerfull leaders use their posts to grab public resources and satisfy themselves in their own means yet this is not taken care of by the law courts. However much the people of Kenya cry for better court proceedings that can deal with the cases, there have been no solution yet. The courts have corrupt judges who take bribes from the powerful leaders hence cannot handle cases against the leaders. There is need for action against the leaders who promote impunity both within and out of the government of Kenya to enable the common 'mwananchi' get resources. Read more.
