Map of SOLUTION TO CHALLENGES IN MATHARE Challenges always have solutions.The challenges in Mathare are able to be solved. Among the solutions is ensuring that all people and children within the slum areas are educated up to a level that can make them get employment. This is already underground and is managed and conducted by intrested parties such as the churches and some Non-governmental organization. This shall help solve the illiteracy among the residence which inturn solve the employment mystery. Another solution is finding another plaves to put up modern residential units for the people of Mathare.The houses should be rented out at an affordable cost that low income earners and labourers are able to pay.This will help solve both the land and housing problems. School Infrastructure

Map of SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE The school of excellency programme initiated by the government was a noble idea in our community .In the year 2009, the programme identified a primary school known as Bondeni primary school in Kakamega town .The school previous lacked enough classrooms as it was in the town and served most estates and slums in the town .The pupils ratio had gone upto highly due to free primary education policy . The proposed project built a three storey building with a yotal of 20 classrooms and housing an administrative offices.The building has greatly shaped well the shool providing it with a modern school structures.This has motivated the residents and the pupil together with their teachers and the pupil together towards striving for good perfomance in exams . Determination Is Key To Success

Map of DETERMINATION IS KEY TO SUCCESS I am Mary Ayiera of ID number 6615290 and a member of Mama Wajane Self Help Group which is in Kakamega North District. since last year I joined this Self Help Group which tries to build and stabilize the economic status of its members through contributions. The contributions made by older members have accumulated and when a new member joins who is very poor, they give some amount to her and a period over which she can try and do business before refunding. It happened to me in that manner. I had nothing but when I joined, I was given 15,000 shillings to help me stand my ground. I then invested in a small business of buying and selling maize. I made reasonable profits and moved to upgrade myself. I now have also began a clothes business. Soon I will also as intend start a big shop. Read more.

Youth Groups For Town Development

Map of Youth groups for town development Once again April holiday has initiated a big drive among youths who have been thinking a long while on how to form a group and look for donations.My area for a long time has not been having a system of collecting rubbish from apartments and homes.The town council has been having a hard time in ensuring litter has been picked irrespective of their small work force.the youth then decided to approach the council and asked them to certify them in the collecting of litter.The youths ego impressed the council which has made them have an easy time in collecting litter.The youths provided paper bags for dumping litter in every household and charge fifty shillings per week when they came to pick the litter.The initiative in other towns such as Nairobi is run by the council but in my town this is driven by youths and have made it a try to facilitate the economic stimulus in their village.
