We provide practical skill-based training and paid apprenticeships to involve women in some of the country's leading economic opportunities. 400 Nepalese women from 33 districts have benefitted so far
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
We are addressing issues such as gender, economy, hunger, poverty, illiteracy & health. EWN focuses on remote mountainous districts Mugu, Humla, Jumla, and others. It covers 33 districts so far. In Pokhara center, women come from all over Nepal. We provide training and employment for women and education for children. Education, awareness, & economic benefit are the main tools to reach the needy. We visit the field to identify the real problems to address with local peoples in their community
How will this project solve this problem?
The trainings in Pokhara and West Nepal promote women in the tourism industry to generate income, and assist disadvantaged women with financial and social independence. Provide education to children for a bright future.
Potential Long Term Impact
Training is helping women become economically independent and supporting their families. 400 women gain confidence to improve their life among them 100 are directly involved in tourism a new profession. 20 women are going for higher education.
