This project supports to install sanitary toilet facilities for 100 disabled and protects their right of dignity and honor.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Unfortunately, more than 8% of population in India are disabled eigther by birth/accident/ill health. Malnutrition, lack of immunisation practices, child marriges and marriages within the kins are some of the causes for disability. Because of disability, they have to depend on others for attending their nature calls, which has become more burden to the other family members. Hence, it is a great necessity to provide sanitary facilities for these poor disabled to protect their dignity and honor.
How will this project solve this problem?
CERDS ensures the accessibility of sanitary toilet facilities to all the target disabled persona and sensitizes people on the need of following immunization practices, taking nutrition food and as well as the affects of child marriages and marriages within the kin relationship.
Potential Long Term Impact
This project provides sanitary toilet facilities for 100 disabled to help them not to depend upon others during their natural calls and to protect their dignity and honor. This project also sensitizes the masses on best practices of health, hygiene and sanitation.
