Summary

The organization has identified 250 child labourers in Gaya and Nalanda District of Bihar, which are seriously out of stream. They are seriously lacking even wearing dress due to deep rooted poverty of the family. For the family education and support of education material to children is a dream. These children are engage in labour work. The organization would focus on their education through enrolling and providing dress,& Educational Items. Goal: Eradication of Child Labour through Education.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

There are deep rooted poverty among the Dalit family. They are landless or posses only housing land. Illiteracy is very high (more than 90%) and their inclination towards education is impossible due to lack of fooding, shelter and clothing problems. Due to lack of employment they also migrate with women members in search of employment in non agriculture season. In agriculture season they do agriculture labor work. They have no time and opportunity to think over the education for the children.

How will this project solve this problem?

The Organization will sensitize the community and parents on the importance of Education. In the meantime the organization will sensitize and mobilize the PRI for the education to these challenged children and to include them in govt. supported programs and govt. schemes and programs. Further the children would be enrolled in govt. schemes and program and for facilitation, mobilization and developing education habits they shall be provided education materials and dress, shoes facilities etc.

Potential Long Term Impact

There shall be generation transform on education to children in mahadalit families and community as well as local governance sensitive towards education to mahadalit and challenged children . Community institution would be developed to tackle the mahadalit/challenged children issues. Also Girls would attend the school and parents accept education is important rather than marriage. There shall also be increased hygienic behavior among children.
