Thanks to your kind support and donations, the students who participated in Career Training have gained more knowledge and experiences! Read on to find out more about the positive experiences of those involved.
In April 2013, our life skill students start their career course. This provides them with good opportunities to know different jobs and work experience in the reality from different business sectors during their visit at hotels.
Furthermore, during the career training course, the students have been learning about time management and traffic lesson. They also have practice how to apply for a job as well as interview practice with their teacher and Youth Employment Service Centre “YES.
In addition, the students visited to Pacific and Shinta Mani hotels. With this opportunity, the students improved their critical thinking and performance as the hotels’ managers introduced about their jobs and requirement as well as how to deal with guests in the hotels. This encouraged and motivated our students to understand the trustworthiness of educated people and they have clear picture goals for their future employment and what they want to be. It was a great explanation of how they could start from a simple job to a higher position. Besides, visiting hotel industries, the students also visited to the Youth Employment Service Center “YES”. This visit, our students were trained how to prepare themselves before going to interview, taught the paths to success with interview, the achievement and accomplishment for the jobs.
In the next three months, we would like to conduct field visits to vocational training centers, final visits to wildlife conversation/environmental conservation areas, the certificate test who graduate from life skill program as well as recruit new life skill students. We are very proud to have provided this program, and we would like to thank all donors who supported us though GlobalGiving. With the help of our partners at GlobalGiving, and you, we hope to keep building on this and moving forward with our personal and career training programme.
