One step closer...

We have great news: Two donors will support this project, which has now a name: AACT (Affirmative Action for Children Today). Thanks to all contributions, we will be able to provide music education to 60 Palestinian children aged 8-10 years, facing social and economic disadvantage in Israel.

In order to ensure continuity of the programme we launched a ‘Scholarships Fund’ for the benefit of those children that are keen and committed to continue their music education even after the termination of the project.

Please support a long-term improvement in the lives of 60 Palestinian children, their families and their communities in Israel today! Any contribution will be saved in the Scholarships Fund. Our campaign goal is $20,000 in one year!

The project will be carried out in local schools in Shefa-'Amr and lbillin. Teachers from Beit Al-Musica will conduct auditions in schools to identify children who show signs of musical promise. Five certified music teachers will provide each child with weekly private lessons (30 in all) in a Western or traditional Oriental musical instrument - violin, cello, oud, clarinet, viola, qanoun, and/or Arabic percussion. In addition to the lessons, the children will participate in public performances and enrichment activities. The project is expected to offer meaningful after-school activity for the children, to enhance their self esteem and foster positive integration into society.
