We continue supporting children at the Pediatric Oncohematology Department in Chisinau, Moldovan capital. Bringing medical supplies to the department remains our priority. If supplies are not replenished on a constant basis, the work of the department gets seriously disturbed. In our last report from March, we mentioned about our plans on refilling stock supplies. In April 2014, we made another purchase in amount of 17,258 Leu ($1,300), which came entirely from your generous donations.
Among the other items, we bought:
- Drips with special ports that let inject chemotherapy and anti-intoxication drugs at the same time;- Filters that are mounted on the caterers and serve as an antibacterial barrier and filtration point in the infusions;- Electrical power boards and adaptors thanks to which children can walk freely and play with other children outside of their wards.
All these supplies are normally needed in large quantities. We will continue engage in refilling stock supplies well in the future. At this time, 25 children receiving treatment at the department are benefiting from our assistance.
On June 7, our organization will hold a large event at Valea Morilor Park in Chisinau. We will be walking carrying colourful balloons in memory of children who lost their battles and in support of those who continue fighting. We hope that walk will be memorable and also fun. The event starts at 17:00 at Valea Morilor Park on Saturday, June 7. Please come and join us! Together we are The Team!
